- Local Storage Only: Your scan history is saved directly on your device using a local database. This history never leaves your device and is not synced to the cloud.
2. Device Permissions
To provide its core functionality, the App requires access to specific device permissions.
- Camera: The App requires access to your device's camera to scan QR codes and barcodes. All image processing and barcode detection (via Google ML Kit) happens locally on your device in real-time. We do not save, record, or upload your camera feed or photos to any external servers.
- Wi-Fi State: The App requires permission to view and change Wi-Fi states strictly to allow you to automatically connect to Wi-Fi networks when you scan a Wi-Fi QR code.
- Vibrate: Used to provide haptic feedback when a code is successfully scanned.
3. Security and Threat Analysis
The App includes a local malicious URL scanner to protect you from dangerous links. This feature works entirely offline using a bundled database of known threats. When you scan a link, the security check is performed locally on your device without sending the URL to us or any third party.
4. Third-Party Services
The App is ad-free and does not integrate any third-party advertising networks or data brokers.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. We are fully compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
